The Old Farmer's Almanac

For 2/3 May, the inscription is: "Floral Etiquette: In Russia, an even number of flowers is given in times of sympathy; for all other occasions, it is proper to give an odd number of flowers."
Which is true -- if "times of sympathy" are commonly understood to mean funerals.
